Patchy Sanders Love

Hello World!

About 3 months ago, some friends told us about this new band that is still really Indy, and how they are trying to get known. So they ripped us a copy of their CD ( Which was fine with the band. ) And we tried it out. Me. Oh. My. If you haven't heard of this band give 'em a try! This brother and I were turned into complete fans! And this one followed soon after.

And then our friends told us, that a concert was coming up...
And it was only $15.00 for a ticket!

We all ( Caleb, Matthew, and I) eagerly asked our parents, and after getting the A-Ok, awaited the day of the 'concert'. The 'concert' happened to be on a Sunday, so we ate lunch with our friends at their house after church, and then headed to downtown Seattle. We shopped around in different book and coffee stores, and visited the Troll under the Fremont Bridge. ( A cross off of my bucket list!) When it was show time, we made our way to the venue, which was actually a house. I wasn't sure what to really expect -being my first concert and all- but it was truly amazing! There was only about 15-20 people there, including the 6 band members, and out of all of them we were the youngest- and quite possibly- biggest fans. Since it was such a small venue the band asked it's audience to raise their hands and shout out song suggestions. They got many request's from our 'row'.  :)  The show itself went on for at least 2 hours, with us listening to some of their new stuff they haven't recorded onto their CD yet, to the stuff we could sing in our sleep. As soon as it ended, ( sob ) I was so antsy to get a CD of my own and ask them to sign it! Which they quite happily all did!

And then I saw that they had T-shirts ...   Matthew, Me, Tori, and Abby, all bought one and grabbed at the opportunity to get them signed as well! Later, Matthew had the fantastagreat idea that somebody should embroider their signature's onto the shirts, as sharpie will eventually wash off. Abby ended up embroidering her own and my brother's. And I did mine and Tori's.

It was such an amazing day, full of amazing people, music, and many wonderfully, happy memories. My only disappointment; we didn't get any pictures of each other with the band members. We'll just have to go to another of their concert's then. :) But seriously, check these guys out! They are such down to earth people! We enjoyed chatting to them after the concert, and they were even sad when we had to leave. Would I go to another one of their concerts? Yes! Would I buy more CD's? Yes! Would I buy more shirts? Yes! Yes! And Yes! Definitely a day I will always remember!

*Note from Author* One of the things I really like about their shirts too, is that they aren't Unisex! So one can comfortably wear a band's shirt. :)

  1. I think Matt's idea was inspired! What's the point of buying their t-shirt if you won't wear it because the Sharpie will wash away? So smart.
Also...friends + good music concert with down to earth band members = great memories. So glad you could go. :-)
