"Can you bring me my chapstick?"

Hello World!

I think this particular post deserves some back round information on me and the eating habits of my life before this review makes sense.
About 6 years ago, I got food allergy tested, and I found out I couldn't eat Gluten, Dairy, Eggs, and Peanuts. Well being 11 years old, I was pretty devastated to find out I couldn't eat donuts, cinnamon roles, or peanut butter! I plugged along trying to eat food I knew was right and okay, but if it was a "special occasion," and there was cake, I usually chose the cake instead of the apple slices, even though I often paid for the action by not feeling well later. Then last year, my older brother and I went off of sugar for the summer. Can I just say that it is horribly hard?! But it did make me stick to my diet of being "good" and eating what I was supposed to.
So, shouldn't I have felt fine?
Technically, yes.
But in all honesty, no.
Recently I was realizing that I really felt crummy all the time, and have for as long as I can remember. I also found out it is NOT normal for people to feel nausea and dizziness and whole heaps and sorts of other trouble all the time. ( Who knew!? )
On mentioning this to my mom, she decided to do some research.
We made a trip to a specialist in Seattle and...
And I have been diagnosed with IBS.
 And I got RE-allergy tested.
And am now allergic to...

Gluten,
Dairy,
Eggs,
Peanuts,
Cashews,
Almonds,
Hazelnuts,
Pistachios,
Beef
Beans
Pineapple and
Mushrooms

It's a list isn't it? I have a hard time remembering everything sometimes! I am currently on a diet excluding the items listed, for a solid two months straight.
Now hopefully this post doesn't sound like a rant! I am actually pretty excited to hopefully start feeling better and like a normal person! But upon getting tested the doctor mentioned how make up is a common product containing Gluten, especially lipstick.
Shucks!
I was recently given some new lipsticks though, and on doing research found they were not only Gluten free but fairly healthy! So I thought I'd share some "safe" brands for others struggling.

I am going to rate each brand with 1 being the lowest, and 5 being the highest. To me a 5 would entail being, a vibrant color, stays on one's lips all day ( unless you wipe it off, or are eating ) is a moist lipstick, easy to apply, and healthy ingredients.

Starting with my lightest color, I pulled Pacifica: Tender Heart out from my magic polkadot bag.

The color is nice, and the ingredients great, but I do feel like this one is a dryer lipstick, even when first applying.

My rating: 2/5

Jessica Liebeskind Vintage: Pink Sequin

The nice thing about lip gloss is how much lighter it is, so when I want to wear some extra color, but am not really wanting to have to go through the process of making sure I got my lipstick on perfect, *Cough* when I am being lazy,

I can simply spread on a favorite and am ready to go!

My Rating: 3/5

Meet Matt(e) Hughes: (Committed)

Liquid Lipstick is kind of the bomb-diggity. Easy to apply, great in color and texture, and great ingredients. Since Peppermint Oil is one of the ingredients, the lipstick smells good too. ;)

My Rating: 4/5

trèStiQue: Chile Red

Easy to apply, and happy with the ingredients. A girl can never go wrong with red!
My Rating: 4/5

 Burt's BeesHibiscus

Since having my new results back from the doctor, Burt's Bees was my first thought and choice for buying chap-stick, but when I found they had a tinted lib balm I was pretty excited! Since it's in the shape of chap-stick, it's easy to apply, and keeps one's lips moist all day!

My Rating: 3/5

Burt's Bees: Rhubarb

Another Burt's Bees and my absolute favorite! I love the color on this particular one, plus it stays all day! This lip shimmer also keep my lips moist making me feel like I don't need to be constantly reapplying chap-stick. This lip shimmer is easy to apply, and definitely 100% natural ingredients. Always a plus, when it's natural, AND Gluten free.

My Rating: 5/5

That's all for today, world. Happy Friyay!
P.S. Can anyone guess where my Post Title quote is from? :)
